Hi there! I'm Gilda Danviri (VirtualYellow). I'm many things, but the one thing I'm the most consistently is a storyteller! I've always been a fan of how the Web 1.0 operated in terms of allowing people to express themselves and back in the day I spent many hours spelunking through Geocities/Angelfire/Tripod webpages and Neopets petpages, the latter of which I've actually written about.

So when I came across the Small Web initiative (you can read more about it here but tl;dr is the core of it is prioritization of personal websites, individual expression and digital gardens over the gigantic megacorporate algorithm-driven websites that dominate the web of today) in ~2021, I immediately ran to carve out a personal hub for myself!

Oie! Eu sou a Gilda Danviri (VirtualYellow). Eu sou várias coisas, mas a coisa que eu sou com mais consistência é uma contadora de histórias! Eu sempre fui fã de como a Web 1.0 operava em termos de permitir às pessoas se expressarem e há muito tempo atrás eu passei muitas horas fuçando páginas no Geocities/Angelfire/Tripod e petpages no Neopets, sendo que eu já escrevi sobre esse último. Então quando eu encontrei a iniciativa da Small Web (leia mais sobre ela aqui em inglês, mas basicamente é sobre a priorização de websites pessoais, expressão individual e jardins digitais em vez dos sites enormes megaempresariais liderados por algoritmos que dominam a web de hoje) em ~2021, eu imediatamente corri pra esculpir um hub pessoal pra mim mesma!
