HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY CYBERHIDEOUT

Hi there! I'm Gilda Danviri (virtualyellow). I'm many things, but the one thing I'm the most consistently is a storyteller! I've always been a fan of how the Web 1.0 operated in terms of allowing people to express themselves and back in the day I spent many hours spelunking through Geocities/Angelfire/Tripod webpages and Neopets petpages, the latter of which I've actually written about.

So when I came across the Small Web initiative (you can read more about it here but tl;dr is the core of it is prioritization of personal websites, individual expression and digital gardens over the gigantic megacorporate algorithm-driven websites that dominate the web of today) in ~2021 I immediately ran to carve out a personal hub for myself!
